Nike launches eco-friendly sneakers made from recycled magazines…

I have a great passion for newspapers (here and here), but I must tell you that I am pleasantly surprised by Nike's initiative. Yes, I have an obsession with recycling and especially with paper waste...

Available in three models, these new striped sneakers are or will be the trend of 2011, especially since they are only found in Europe and China.

Moreover, these strips of old magazines strangely resemble DNA... I really commend the initiative, the only major negative point (and you might say we can't have it all) remains the manufacturing in sweatshops. Indeed, these shoes are at the forefront of recycling but not ethically manufactured, what a shame!
