If there's one association that makes my activist heart beat, it's Surfrider Foundation. There's no denying their communication campaigns are brilliant. And I think cleaning beaches is a strong civic act; between you and me, I don't understand people who leave their plastics or bottles on the sand...
And beware, these ocean initiatives don't only target the Ocean or the Mediterranean; yes, lakes, rivers, in fact, anything with water is concerned!
In short, all this to say that Surfrider once again hits the mark with its campaign for Ocean Initiatives.
It's on March 22, 23, 24, and 25, 2012; last year, they had no less than 42,000 participants in 35 countries.
And then diverting proud vacation photos, well, personally I've never taken this kind of photo because I don't fish but hey, Cristina from Grey's Anatomy took the same photo!
