It's serious, yet the campaign is amusing. Indeed, the lingering question is, what if only they were left?
The panda is one of the most endangered animals, with fewer than 1000 giant pandas remaining worldwide (admittedly, the one in the photo is more of a miniature panda, but still). It is disappearing due to two reasons: first, poaching. Here, I foolishly wonder what the point of poaching pandas is; do you eat them, or use their fur? Second, the lack of bamboo, as bamboo is cut down to build villages and roads, and the panda can no longer feed itself.
As for the zebra (Grévy's zebra), there are only 800 left, and 800 is still a small number. The main causes of its extinction are desertification and hunting.
Honestly, that bichon is adorable! (well, I don't know if it's really a bichon, I don't know anything about dogs)
