Last article of August (marking the end of holidays for many..), so I’ll conclude with a small favorite before getting back into the quest for eco-friendly or not-so-eco-friendly communication and marketing campaigns!
It was on Buzzecolo that I discovered this rather atypical artist, Jason Mecier, an American who creates genuine works of art depicting portraits of celebrities... nothing particularly extraordinary so far! But what's interesting is that the works are created using the actual waste consumed by the celebrities themselves!!! Electronic materials, makeup, cigarette butts, can caps, used objects of all kinds... make up these creations!
He raises awareness by recycling and creates art at the same time, giving birth to superb artworks (whether you like it or not, I love the idea, the message he conveys!!)!
Imagine the portrait of the eccentric Lady Gaga, queen of all excesses, the raw material (waste!!) was more than abundant!!… Here's the proof in pictures:
And these creations carry messages and make people think! They particularly question the lifestyles of celebrities, overconsumption... (certainly not all, thankfully, but far too many!) because even if some advocate for their commitment, it doesn't stop them from traveling by private jet... so, no comment (and no, I won't name names :) )!
Celebrities, recycling, art – that sums up Jason Mecier’s work!
No more talk! Let the images speak for themselves…
And a little game (where there's nothing but glory, I remind you that you already have Love and Beauty!) who are these celebrities?
