A sea turtle, to be precise. Given that we know turtles are herbivores, the answer to that question should be seaweed. But unfortunately, things are changing, pollution is increasing, and the oceans are full of plastic. As proof, instead of seaweed, we now find plastic in the stomachs of sea turtles, and that's immediately less amusing.
This photo shows the contents of the stomach of a young turtle caught in Argentina. It's striking to see the damage caused by plastic; we talk about it, we know there's more and more plastic in the oceans. But this image is chilling.
Perhaps we should show this photo to all polluters so they realize that in addition to polluting the oceans, they are killing animal species.
