Yes, strange thing, after the Grand Journal on Canal Plus, two spots for Alter Eco.
What to make of it?
The first thing that comes to mind is wow, Alter Eco must have a decent marketing budget because the ad is really well made (smiles, small producers, cocoa) you want to buy the product... in the end, we're really in basic consumer society, but I want to say it's all part of the game, my dear, otherwise you don't advertise!
The second thing, I tell myself it's normal, it's before Fair Trade Fortnight, they're starting to show everyday consumers that there's another version of consumption... are you really that attentive when you watch ads, I doubt it a little though...
What made me laugh is that the Alter Eco ad came after an ad for the latest model of a car brand... in the end, a little bit of ethics in advertising doesn't hurt and maybe now the door is open for other brands that will dare to take the plunge!!!
Well, at Peau-Ethique we don't have the budget for it yet (like, don't dream too much either)
To learn more on the Alter Eco blog, a brief explanation of why they ran their ad.
