This is a phrase I have to credit to Asterix & Obelix - Mission Cleopatra. It's the scene where the workers are protesting... You'll immediately understand the connection...
I've made it a rule for the blog not to get political or talk too much about our personal lives, but on this day of protest, I think we can speak out!
I was supposed to go to Lyon today, to see clients, and thanks to, because of, because there's a strike, I can't go... many trains are cancelled, are they right or wrong? I have to tell you that when I was a student, I often asked myself that question! But this time, the situation has changed, it's not just civil servants, railway workers, and postal workers who are protesting, it's also private sector employees.
All this to say that beyond the crisis, it's time to rethink our consumption habits, because for years we have consumed too badly, I think we can "correct the course" by radically changing our consumption habits, by supporting organic farming for example, by consuming locally, by choosing fair trade products...
Many tell me that it's more expensive, that organic and fair trade are for a higher social class, which is false. Indeed, if the prices are just a little higher, it's because on the one hand the raw material is more expensive, but above all because the people who produce the articles are paid correctly... whereas for products found in supermarkets, it's the distributor who makes a hefty profit!
Let's take note and change!
Perhaps it's utopian, but I think there's still time to change!!
