At least Cathy, the founder (and my mom at the same time) received the Women in Action trophy in the Sustainable Development category.
What pride! To see her work finally recognized before an audience of women who make the Rhône Alpes region move.
The story goes that Cathy saw this call for applications and thought "why not, I have a chance in the sustainable development category", it's true that Peau-Ethique is organic lingerie but it's especially a green company. Le Progrès newspaper (regional press in Rhône-Alpes) did the rest and elected us (at least her) among many other women.
The gentleman next to Cathy who presented her with the trophy is the economic development director of the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône (Michel Côte); his company is truly focused on sustainable development and clean energy.
Because yes, Le Progrès had chosen to highlight women, the one that particularly touched us was the jury's favorite, Professor Marilène Filbet, who heads palliative care at CHU Lyon Sud. A woman with great humanity, knowing that her patients are condemned, she tries to remove all the little obstacles in their path to minimize pain in the last moments of their lives.
In total, 9 exceptional women were honored, and it feels good to see that in a society where men are generally often in the spotlight!
