As for me, I've chosen to talk about Ethical Fashion and its Vintage... obviously I wanted to start by saying that Peau-Ethique had launched its new collection, but I'll spare you the details...
I'll start my selection with the must-have book for any self-respecting ethical fashionista (next article planned). Eco Fashion written by Sass Brown is like THE bible. Brands, trends, fabrics, everything is deciphered; if there's one book to have to understand ethical fashion, it's this one.
Price: €38
Le Centre Commercial is the trendy boutique in Paris. Where ethical fashion rhymes with fashion itself... but not just fashion, also exhibitions, books... in short, I'd kill to see Peau-Ethique there, but that's not the point. What is Le Centre Commercial? It's the new project by the founders of Veja, who, it must be said, are always a little ahead of the curve.
In any case, the selection there is said to be discerning, and it's a dream for all ethical fashionistas... I'm waiting for the same concept in the provinces, but I'm going to do a photo report there, yes ;)
This year there was also a great collaboration between luxury and ethical fashion. Indeed, Edun (the brand of Bono's wife, the U2 singer) chose Louis Vuitton to launch a bag for an African foundation. The Keepall 45... First major collaboration between luxury and fair trade...
++ Keepall 45
I loved telling you about jewelry this year, and it can be said that 2010 was also a year of progress. There was a lot of recycling, the big trend, but there was also a big return to nature and plants. Hafsteinn Juliusson with his lawn-ring, a certain style, was one of the trends of 2010...
Finally, I'm going to talk about Jux, a brand to keep in mind because it's THE big winner of the Ethical Fashion Show 2010, and we'll see a beautiful range in the pages of La Redoute.
++ Jux
Because yes, Ethical Fashion no longer belongs only to a small circle of insiders, and let's rejoice! Today La Redoute, perhaps tomorrow Les 3 Suisses, and so on, Ethical Fashion will sneak in everywhere!!
