Here are some hiking ideas in one of France's most beautiful departments (okay, ours). Head to the Loire and its lovely hiking ideas! Let's go for the top 5 most beautiful walks in the Loire
Pet d'âne

Le Pêt d’Âne offers a magnificent view of the largest meander of the Loire river. You can also see the Lyonnais mountains and the Forez plain!
Le Pêt d'Ane is a hiking trail located in the commune of Dancé in the Loire (42). This route of about 3 kilometers takes on average 1h10 to walk. You can do it with children! Beautiful view of the Loire!
Plateau de la danse

One of the most beautiful hikes in the Gorges de la Loire, very close to Saint-Etienne, and can be done by public transport (bus from Saint-Etienne). The departure is from Saint-Victor sur Loire
View of the Loire meanders. A magnificent hike in a majestic setting. Be careful, the climb is a bit steep! Ideal picnic spot! It's an ideal spot for a beautiful Instagram photo with your hiking bra and the Loire!
Le gouffre de l'enfer
8km - 2h45 A walk at the gates of Pilat to discover the lake of Pas du Riot and two dams built under Napoleon III.
This walk is easy, family-friendly and without difficulty, the hardest part is climbing the 52m of stairs at the dam.
Always shaded, ideal during hot weather!
La chartreuse

The Chartreuse de Sainte-Croix is classified among the most beautiful villages in France. It dates from the 13th century. Many hikes are offered at the gates of Pilat. The Roches de Marlin hike is quite easy and can be done with children! A big favorite for the singing stone!
Les crêtes du Pilat

A magnificent hike, one of the most frequented in France (okay, maybe it's just local pride). Every sunny Sunday, hundreds of hikers set off to conquer this "Ridge Road". If the light is right, the walk becomes a real enchantment! Another perfect spot for an Insta photo with your walking bra and the Crêt de l'Oeillon in the background!
And then you can eat blueberries or a blueberry tart at La Jasserie!
After walking the beautiful paths of the Loire, your feet deserve a little break. Take off your hiking socks and hop into a footbath!
