I think Stephani Germanotta got the better of me and I jumped head first into her latest provocation... And yes, because Lady Gaga is still the queen and provocation is her bread and butter, but I really couldn't say nothing about her outfit at the MTV Music Awards 2010.
So I know you've probably already seen these images, I apologize in advance, but honestly I couldn't stay silent!!
So here's the scandalous photo...
A meat dress (which, between you and me, is very ugly)
Actually, I'm at a loss for words, not because I've become a vegetarian, no, I eat meat from time to time, but the fact of seeing someone put food on themselves instead of giving it to others deeply bothers me. I'm not even going to mention that red meat produces the most CO2 in the atmosphere, I'll spare you that... however, I'm shocked, no offense to Rue 89. It's just beyond what's acceptable for me. Maybe deep down I'm just old and out of touch!!
There's also the image of Japanese Vogue circulating everywhere where she's in a meat swimsuit; to think that at Peau-Ethique we're breaking our heads for a new swimsuit concept, I should take inspiration from Lady Gaga, I'm sure that at least people will talk about us...
So OK, she's an artist but she shouldn't push it, because that's just disgusting (both images, mind you, with a slight preference for the first one) ...
Actually, for me the real question is what is the environmental impact of these outfits... I'd be curious to know that, just to have a good reason to hate Lady Gaga...
