TV and hard drive

Well, yesterday, after lighting up my little home with lanterns (because it was the Festival of Lights), I decided, snuggled up under my duvet, to watch Yann Arthus Bertrand's show on France 2, "Un Soir Pour la Terre" (An Evening for the Earth).

So, what can I say, a winter version of Home? Or Copenhagen?

At the same time, all these shows talking about global warming, oil, melting glaciers are good for the "common man"... but in the end, what comes out of it?? After watching this show, are we going to stop buying gasoline?? Is intensive agriculture going to stop?
Sometimes, I feel like giving up on everything, telling myself that it's just a lot of wasted effort... but luckily for me, it passes, and I tell myself that I must get back on my steed and fight my own battles...

All this to say that generally, I'm a very receptive audience, but yesterday I didn't feel like I learned anything, not that I know everything, but I found that with the political stakes of Copenhagen, this show wasn't really committed, it deserved better and so did we.
So we'll excuse Yann Arthus B., and we hope that next time he'll go back to being the true activist he was at the beginning... at the same time, I didn't listen to the debate, so maybe I missed something? But I'd already had enough, I'd already forced myself to listen to Allègre on Canal+, and that's really putting yourself through it!!

But then again, it's not easy to make a very committed show and reach a maximum audience (I'd even say housewives), but he still pulled it off. So, waiting for the results?! I'm still going to check blogs and websites for feedback on this show.
