Well, I admit it, I put oil in my hair. An oil specially designed for hair, 100% natural, without preservatives, synthetic products or petrochemical derivatives, and it's not tested on animals.
An Indian Ayurvedic treatment, it is obtained by macerating different plants in an oil base. It contains sesame oil (a natural antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory that nourishes and moisturizes the scalp while combining anti-dandruff functions). The plant ingredients are Holy Basil from India (a natural antiseptic and astringent), Amla (a fruit naturally rich in vitamin C, which gives it nourishing and regenerating tonic properties), Hibiscus (which stimulates hair regrowth and has anti-dandruff properties), and Brahmi (a blood purifying plant, used in Ayurveda against premature aging, hair loss, and skin problems).
My hair loves it, I even went to a hair salon for an organic treatment and guess what, the hairdresser pulled out this oil (and she charged me €75 for the treatment... OK, it was a gift, but still)
To use it, you massage the scalp, leave it on for 15 minutes to overnight. I never leave it on overnight because even if I put a towel on the pillow, I'm sure I'll still mess it up. So, I generally leave it on for two hours. After that, I shampoo twice, and the result is pretty good; my hair shines much more.
The smell is bearable, it's not extraordinary, but well, if the result means I have beautiful hair, I'm willing to put up with it. Before, I used jojoba oil, but it didn't make my hair shine as much.
The price is €36, and you can find it here
