Father's Day: the perfect eco-friendly gift idea

Well, since Mother's Day is on May 30, 2010 and you've probably already thought about her gift (otherwise there's always Peau-Ethique), it's the dads' turn... who, between us, are often neglected... for me, it's my dad's birthday and Father's Day in June...
Because after buying him organic shaving cream (you do what you can!!) this year I find this concept a bit crazy...

So if your dad wears ties, that's good... (well, mine doesn't every day). The idea is that with an old object (from his time) you can make a current product. Sonic Fabrics understood this well and offers ties with cassette tape threads... certainly at 50% (the remaining 50% being polyester)...

I totally agree, because one, it's recycling, and two, he can wear it and won't be ashamed of it!! In fact, the selling point is that he feels like a superhero, so tell your dad that when you give it to him!! The only slight negative point in the end is that it's only available in the US... and the price 90 $ (well, if we split it among three, it's doable).
And if your dad isn't 100% eco-friendly, I think it's a good way to raise his awareness!!
