Not us!! And yes, well, I didn't see any representatives from La Redoute LVMH, so I have to say I didn't have high hopes... and when a nice hostess and then a nice host came to tell me they were presenting the awards, well, then I was sure... because you're not going to get up and say "wow, thank you, I wasn't expecting it, what a surprise!"
Anyway, you want to know who won... first of all, it's not a French brand, second consecutive year (I note) that La Redoute is giving its prize to foreign ethical designers. The winning brand is Jux, a Dutch brand, but rest assured, it doesn't make lingerie!! No, the products are generally nice, not distributed in France, and I find them quite fashionable, for men and women.
They really have two main qualities: organic and fair trade. And yes, it's made in Tibet, in fact, the designer (Jitske Lundgren) lives there now... well, when I say organic, there's still a downside because in their range, there's still the use of bamboo viscose, and between us, that's not very ecological...
As a side note, on Saturday, when we arrived to set up the exhibition, we saw the designer very annoyed leaving the parking lot because he had to move his car (even though it was only 2 PM)
Personally, I didn't think this brand would win. I took a quick look and had seen other things that seemed really interesting (with Peau-Ethique of course), but I think La Redoute really wants to prove that ethical fashion is "designer" because they chose a little-known and little-distributed brand, and I was going to say not necessarily accessible in terms of price.
So I have a lot, a lot to say about this exhibition. I made many ethical discoveries (and non-ethical ones too), I'll talk about them often! And yes, getting out of your comfort zone is useful!!!
