February 14th can't come soon enough, at least for some pretty Valentine's Day cards. Though, someone would have to send me one. Yes, please don't twist the knife in this gaping wound that is my heart.
I made a card in Red and Black, as Jeanne Mas sings so well (and incidentally, like our new collection of organic lingerie, which is ma-gni-fi-cent). And because I have zero imagination, what did I make? A heart. Red. TOO MUCH SUBTLETY.
Anyway, I'll explain: on a sheet of paper (Canson imitation), you draw a heart. So far, easy (yes, that means "facile" because we're bilingual here). With a tapestry needle, you go around the heart, and boom, done. Takes 10 minutes. If you're as skilled as I am.
Personally, I think this card with the words "BE MY VALENTINE" is perfect.
Yes, the card with a perfect Peau-Ethique set (yes, I'm advertising)(yes, but at the same time the card goes really well with it ;)) and DIY cards always have more character than those bought at a stationery store or elsewhere.
And as J. Mas would say:
In red and black, I'll banish my fear
I'll go higher than these mountains of pain
