Let's become biodiversity protectors with the Foundation for Nature and Humanity

The Foundation for Nature and Man, founded in 1990 by Nicolas Hulot himself, long before he was the unsuccessful candidate in the environmentalist primary...

But what is this foundation, you might ask? It's very simple: it was this foundation that, in 2007 (oh, that's old), influenced politics. Let me explain: during the presidential elections, Nicolas Hulot managed to get all candidates to sign his ecological pact. But the foundation doesn't just have a political role; it also acts on the public front (you and me). Who hasn't heard of the Challenge for the Earth? Or more recently, the carbon coach? Even the spearhead of the foundation was the fight against strawberries in winter...

The foundation's new campaign is centered around biodiversity.

Because today, there's an urgency: the extinction rate of species is 100 to 1000 times higher than the natural extinction rate. 59,508 plant and animal species are threatened worldwide according to the IUCN Red List. 797 are extinct. You don't have to be a pro-animal person to see that we need to act, because yes, we can do something.

The foundation is launching a very fun and engaging campaign which, instead of protecting endangered species (tigers...), decides to show us that in our everyday lives, there are also creatures in danger.
 

For example, would you have thought of saving a fly, a wasp, a lizard? My answer is no...

I myself have made great efforts not to run away when I see a wasp, but I don't kill them, I'm not a barbarian after all. However, it's true that we never think about protecting these little creatures, but they too are in danger.

Otherwise, if you want to, on the Foundation for Nature and Man's website, you can make a donation for biodiversity; the goal is to reach 1,500 protected areas, or you can attach a little creature to your Facebook profile (on your wall). Personally, I vote for the lizard :)
