This day should have been a normal day, but in no time at all, we were propelled to the status of an internet meme.
Now, I'm usually one to laugh, but when people laugh at me, it immediately makes me laugh less. To make a long story short, some clever person used a photo of our male pajama model and turned it into a joke. If it had stayed within his circle, we would never have known, but this joke gained so much traction that even rapper Joey Starr just shared it on his Instagram account.
Well, the joke is good because the men's pajamas are quite comfortable (a little link if you also want to get them for yourself), except that the person wearing them is my little brother, and being a meme when you're just an ordinary person isn't easy. Being harassed, mocked, insulted because you're wearing blue pajamas isn't easy. Today, I discovered the dark side of this internet. And I thought I had a subscription to a "gold" internet.
People tell me, "Why don't you use this for advertising for Peau-Ethique?" Haha, but why? So we can be mocked? I've already spent a day with a stomach ache, and I don't want to spend any more days like that. Especially since we know that this audience won't buy anything; they just want entertainment.
Despite everything, I tell myself that we have image rights. I've already had it removed from one site, but the virality was already there. The damage was done. We don't really think about the people behind the memes, these people who aren't reality TV stars and who have jobs...
Anyway, what a day (don't forget to buy the pajamas if you support Italy lol)
