I will try to explain why, since the beginning of Peau-Ethique, we do not offer more than one new collection per year. Why go against the current of fashion?
We are aware that, despite being a meaningful company, we know that on our scale we are part of an industry that pollutes and kills. We could put on our blinders and tell ourselves that, after all, we don't pollute. But no. We are all moving forward together to reduce our environmental impact, so that future generations can enjoy the Earth.
Without being in an esoteric approach or anything, we are facing a real problem. Climate urgency concerns everyone (even if some politicians tend to forget it). And producing clothes pollutes.
Offer sustainable underwear!
At Peau-Ethique, we mainly want to offer basics that you keep and want to buy again and again. We could do what most brands do, at least 2 collections a year, or even 6 per month for some! Disposable fashion, which we consume and throw away until the next purchase. We have chosen to go against the current of fashion. However, next month we will have a bra and panties for women, tights (by the way, we will tell you about the struggle it was to create tights), and if all goes well, a new men's pajama set. It's not much, but it allows us to renew ourselves a little bit.

Next month we will also talk about the inflation that is affecting us and why we will have to increase our prices. An article that I have been working on for some time but which will be necessary to be as transparent as possible.
We are also considering pre-orders. More and more brands are moving towards this new way of consuming. Basically, we only consume what we produce and we don't have dormant stock. No collection every 3 months. I am still skeptical about this, especially since we sell organic cotton lingerie, and we all wear socks and briefs every day. So would we be willing to wait 2 months? I'm not sure mindsets are that advanced. A matter of time, perhaps.
