Let's stay on the topic of water...
You can't ignore all these big cosmetic brands (especially those sold in supermarkets) that use the green argument in their communication campaigns....
Turn on your TV and watch the ads... it's impressive!
"A gesture for your skin, a gesture for the environment", you've surely come across the one from Sanex (the health brand) and its shower gel - the Sanex 0% without parabens, without dyes, without phthalates or phenoxyethanol... (blah blah blah blah), and with two times fewer chemicals than a classic shower gel (which means there are still too many in its composition, about 10! nothing to brag about!) but then again, they are certified by the European eco-label, (and also 99.5% biodegradable..)
So a campaign focused on this argument of 0% parabens... smells like greenwashing!! In any case, you can search and search, there's no organic mention!!! But it's true that with all these terms around natural... it gets confusing!!
But what raises the shower gel's score is the brand's commitment to preserving the environment! For every bottle of Sanex 0% purchased, the brand commits to cleaning 1m2 of beach – an initiative against pollution that should be highlighted because when you see the state of some beaches... Moreover, if you go to their website, you can see in real time the number of square meters of beach cleaned (at the time I'm writing the article, over 2,909,913 square meters, knowing that the operation was launched a year ago already) ! And as you can see on the site created exclusively for this Sanex 0% line (yes, a great marketing effort and budget for this launch!!),
The brand even did its party tour (because as long as you're doing something, you might as well be seen!!) of the beaches from August 2nd to 19th with an association that protects the coastline - Surfrider Foundation... (and what I think is that it's mostly a great self-promotion operation! )
The little extra (still) on the packaging side, 500ml eco-refills... and all brands should offer family sizes and eco-refills (that would be the minimum!)
