Hair & Organic Deodorant!

Are underarm hairs back?

That's not such a futile question that I ask myself after reading an article on Métro and Slate.

I'm going to tell you about my little experience because yes, after all, it's my blog, I decide ;)

So, I'm not really #teampoils, I know that's shocking in the organic world! Because, you see, when I started my first organic trade shows about 8 years ago (I was, of course, young and pretty), I wasn't shocked, but let's say I was very surprised to see in the changing rooms (yes, because I remind you that here we sell cotton lingerie) young and not-so-young women with armpit hair. Not just a little, like "excuse me, I forgot to shave and I didn't expect to buy lingerie," but more like "yeah, I haven't shaved in two or three years, so what?" Do you see the vibe for me, a novice in this environment?

At first, I thought it was just one or two women, and in fact, no, it's many... and then I felt bad, you see, I consume organic, I eat organic, I dress organic, my lingerie is organic, my cosmetics are organic BUT I shave my armpits. Major discomfort!!

After all, everyone has their own thing, if for you having armpit hair means being closer to nature, why not? Of course, I won't lie to you, in winter my legs are not always perfect (and of course, it only happens when you don't have a boyfriend...) but oh well...

Then, a year or two ago, I decided to switch to organic deodorant; let's be honest, you don't smell good with it. You see, I put it on if I'm going for a drink, out to a restaurant, if I'm sure I won't sweat, and that it won't be hot, otherwise, everyone knows the truth with organic deodorants: we sweat and therefore we smell. QED. So yes, it's bad, but I have a very chemical, very disgusting deodorant that I use when I'm out for a long time or for important things (you know what I mean ^^)

The last two I'm testing are Kibio and Sanoflore. Yes, mixed feelings about both. Well, maybe I haven't found the perfect organic deodorant, but I must tell you that the few or many I've tried have somewhat disgusted me!
