While Parisian trade shows are buzzing with activity, we've chosen, as we have for the past 7 years, to attend the InNaTex show in Frankfurt (yes, I'm writing German!).
But why not attend SIL (Salon International de la Lingerie) or So Ethic? Firstly, we've already done those shows, but in terms of revenue, I can tell you honestly that it wasn't a joy, especially the lingerie show. Yet, we saw big buyers: Les 3 Suisses, Damart, and a major men's lingerie brand, and in the end... only press.
Of course, I could have lied and told you we had a huge success, that lingerie stores want organic cotton, but no, maybe they do want organic cotton (I promise I'll write a real post about it soon) but we were placed in the wrong spot in the Spicy Garden next to a brand called Bordelle... you get the picture?
So, because these professional shows are costly, and proof of this is that for several years big brands boycotted them, we choose the shows that work. And InNaTex works.
Certainly, it's less glamorous, Frankfurt (a little joke with the sausage?) isn't Paris, but there's an international clientele, and yes, we have Finnish customers who even travel there!!
We're not the only brands at this show; Idéo and Ethos are also there.
So if you have a boutique and want to discover many international brands and also want to hear German spoken (except at our stand), meet us at Stand 77 from January 29th to 31st, 2011.
Otherwise, wish me good sales ;)!
