Can gold become ethical?

That's a good question!

Like every many girls, I love gold jewelry... and to make matters worse, I'm allergic to everything but gold when it comes to earrings... super practical, right?
So I don't have much choice if I want to wear earrings, otherwise I wear pretty ones (not gold) and then my earlobes are on fire for several weeks...
So yesterday, while reading FashionMag, I learned that a Frenchman had created an ethical gold supply chain... and then I thought, what a great idea! No, really, because we know that gold mining, especially in French Guiana, is very bad for the ecosystem (deforestation, pollution...), and most gold miners are underpaid.

But did you know that gold could be produced intelligently? I have to tell you that I hadn't even thought about it, I had mainly focused on diamonds. And yes, since the very beautiful film Blood Diamond (with the very cute Leonardo DiCaprio), I had said no way I would wear or buy diamonds... And some time ago I learned that there were Max Havelaar certified diamonds... well, I don't want to dwell on MH, but I think it's a good start, because knowing that you're wearing war products around your neck or on your finger, no thanks...

Anyway, all this to say that here we highlight the good initiative of wanting to create new gold and above all we wish it a long life!!
