And yes, concepts that can be complementary!! Lately, I've been asking myself a lot of questions about our impact; recycling has become one of my obsessions. In fact, I'm thinking about a project for Peau-Ethique, but I promise I'll talk about it later...
So, recycling is an increasingly important trend in the fashion world, especially in accessories. Here are 3 distinct but complementary examples:
1. The chandelier jewelry by Loyale
Completely crazy, it's true, who would have the idea of wearing old chandeliers around their neck? But terribly fashionable, Natalie Portman (V for Vendetta) and Emily Deschanel (Bones) are the inspirations (understand that these are very committed stars and the necklaces bear their names). So I'll tell you right away, there won't be enough for everyone, just 10 copies of each!
We love the vintage spirit and unique piece; I'm not talking about the price, it's indecent...
2. The elastic band jewelry
You know, those elastic bands you have a box of on your desk to hold your folders together, and which you don't use often in the end (except to annoy your colleagues by using them as weapons)? Well, Margarita Mileva (an architect by profession) makes magnificent necklaces out of them. Personally, I would never have thought of such an idea!
We love the regressive and colorful side (but not the masochistic side!)
3. Fair trade fabric jewelry,
The company Grain (I think the pun is still great) makes its very colorful necklaces in Guatemala. Everything is handmade by small artisans.
We love the colors and the brand's ethics (it belongs to the 1% for the Planet club), and these colors make us long for sunshine and holidays!!
That's what's magical: in the end, with an already existing product, you can make something completely different. At the same time, that's the principle of recycling :)
