Yes, animals don't commit suicide, I know, but imagine if birds no longer had trees to build their nests, due to massive deforestation and urbanization. What if rivers were diverted for beavers and they too were deprived of their homes? What if hares trying to get back into their burrows were run over on roads or highways? Yes, urbanization has a role to play with animals. Not to destroy them, but rather to protect them and, in doing so, protect biodiversity.
