The Buy One, Give One concept

Share

Okay, since we’re all fluent here, no need for translation, we buy something here, and the company we buy from commits to donating a product (similar to theirs) to an association.

So far, so good, nothing too complicated.

I needed new glasses, but fair trade or even ethical trade glasses don't exist. Some brands talk about returning to Made In France (which is trendy, of course), but nothing really tempted me.

Then came Jimmy Fairly, offering a Give One, Buy One concept. You buy a nice pair of glasses on their site, and they commit to sending a pair of glasses to an association. Now that's real trade, fair trade! And as they say so well, "To see is to live."

There are 3 partner associations: Voir la Vie in Guinea, Peuples de l’Himalaya in India, and Emmaüs Solidarité in France.

But what about the style in all this? (watch me turn into a fashion blogger)

(yes, I have an iPhone and it's bad)(but my case is pretty, isn't it?)

I'm totally in love with them; the shape suits me perfectly, they're fashionable, and to top it all off, they're not very expensive. Indeed, they're €95 a pair. Try to find a pretty pair at that price at an optician. Of course, at an optician, you pay for the brand. But does the brand implement actions to help people see better? No.

The frames are designed in France but manufactured in Italy, while the lenses are manufactured in France.

In short, you understand that I'm totally in love with my new glasses! Even my mom wants to order some!

By the way, I saw that other brands have launched into the Buy One, Give One concept, including a sneaker brand, I plan to talk about it soon!
