Orange and Bic are back at it again, lowering the price of the Bic phone from 49 to 29 euros!
The Bic phone?? Yes, you heard right, Bic has entered the age of mobile phones by partnering with the famous operator Orange (since 2008 already!) and bringing its trademark: disposability!!
So what's the principle of the Bic phone? A mobile phone without a contract at a more than negligible cost (which has been lowered because in 2008 it was sold for 49 euros, and this year prices are slashed!! 29 euros with 15 euros of credit valid for two months after the first use); Basically, the message is that if you lose it, it's not a big deal because it's cheap!! Welcome to the world of overconsumption... The two brands are playing on communication around a very low price, allowing people not to worry about the fate of the phone! The (anti-eco) target: the absent-minded who will surely be even more so with this phone, tourists who want a ready-to-use mobile...!
Indeed, the communication strategy around it is: "turn on, call" and as the Greenit blog rightly says, they could even have specified "turn on, call, throw away"!
No need to even insert a Sim card, a simple number is provided and that's it, the battery is already charged! and after that, just recharge (or throw away)!
And this phone, promoting mass consumption as much as possible, is available in newsagents, stationers, supermarkets, (soon you'll be buying your phone like you buy a baguette!)... in short, it can be found in the same stores that distribute other Bic brand products (Orange also sells it online).
The ONLY (I mean the only!!) positive point is the pop colors of this new line (and by the way, don't tell anyone, but pop is coming to Peau-Ethique... but shhh!!)
