Fair Trade Fortnight from May 9 to 24, 2009

The well-known Fair Trade Fortnight "pleases" all stakeholders, as it is the only true time when Fair Trade becomes part of the daily lives of French people.

Events are multiplying and everyone can finally find Fair Trade products, and often at these events, you can chat with different stakeholders, ask the right questions, and learn their stories!

For example, I read that in large retailers, a fair trade brand (in food) brings coffee producers, and they explain to consumers how Fair Trade has changed their lives…
Well, it's true that the example is a bit extreme, but personally, I really like the idea…
But it also makes me dream of bringing our producers here (but not at all taking them to large retailers) and having them participate in the fortnight, so that in turn they can explain what Fair Trade means to them…
I imagine our knitters of beanies who have never left their provinces arriving and taking them directly to large retailers…
