Yes, I know I'm stirring things up, but I'm not a big fan of message t-shirts. Don't get me wrong, I do have two or three, but I figure I can be eco-friendly without wearing it on my sleeve. It's like having message panties... However, I totally and deeply respect brands that create engaged t-shirts.
But first, who is Katharine Hamnett? She's like a high priestess of fashion, UK style. She started in the 80s, with t-shirts featuring highly politicized slogans. And in 2003, after a visit to Mali, she realized the damage caused by conventional cotton cultivation and opted for organic cotton. Do I need to remind you that cotton cultivation causes 22,000 deaths per year! Organic cotton (like for Peau-Ethique) is a no-brainer. Since then, all her collections have been made with organic cotton, and we're not complaining!
However, I don't know where the t-shirts are made (no info on her website)
This model is super famous but I can't remember her name I must admit that me and fashion
Okay, but the prices for just a t-shirt are quite expensive, costing around €50 per item. I note that for that price, you could buy a bra and panties at Peau-Ethique! Anyway, we haven't been knighted (or something similar) by the Queen of England.
