And I join a sect of organic hipsters who try alternative medicine just to see... and who tell themselves, deep down, it can't do me any harm.
Yes, it's not a foregone conclusion, but I wanted to try a unique adventure...
I'm a big scaredy-cat, like I'm afraid of everything, and needles... how can I say, that was a huge deterrent for a long time.
I plucked up my courage and dared.
The first question for novices is, does it hurt? Yes and no (let's not lie). In fact, there's a lot of apprehension, so you think you're going to hurt every time, but no, but when they prick your hand, you feel the energy that's supposed to circulate and that might not circulate (yes, I'm knowledgeable).
Are the needles big? In fact, they are still impressive, but since they don't fully insert them, it's actually funny (yes, funny, you have to say it quickly though, because the first time you see one, you change color).
Do they prick you anywhere? Not at all, there are strategic points, for me, for example, it was the stomach, feet, legs, and hands... but they can also prick you in the back, in short, wherever necessary! But on the face, I would have said no, let's not push it!!!
And the most important question is, does it work? Well, that's hard to judge. I want to say if you believe in it wholeheartedly, it might work, but for me (a big migraine sufferer at heart), well, it didn't do me any harm... I even felt all relaxed after the session, but to say that I haven't had any migraines since then would be a lie...
Who has tried acupuncture? Or other alternative medicine?
