Eco-gestures, those little things we do every day to act responsibly (like taking cold showers because we care about the environment and our cellulite - double motivation! :) - separating trash into yellow bins, green bins (I'm not even going to talk about how hard that is for colorblind people), riding our bikes instead of taking the car to get (croissants) bread... I'll stop there because the list is long!), these gestures that seem useless to some (it's true that we're not going to change the world by using a low-energy light bulb, but if this approach becomes COLLECTIVE, that's when it starts to get interesting!!) and so... don't be fooled, it's just the minimum to, not change the mistakes of the past, but move forward... So to the various questions, should we prefer such and such light bulbs (to go back to the famous example), we should rather change our way of thinking!! I know, we still have work to do, at the same time we are so solicited by this disposable consumer culture, because for a few years now we have become champions, we consume and throw away, and we start again... So I'll start again but with the real question this time, it is, instead of thinking about which camisole (Peau-Ethique of course) I'm buying, rather think, can I do without it to relieve my ecological footprint... and yes, that's the whole nuance; well I took the example of the camisole but of course it is duplicable (to less futile things, is that what you think??)!
So yes, we can't go back in time to change all the damage done in the past... but what we can do and what we must do, on our own scale, however small it may be, is to perpetuate these gestures daily, yes I repeat DAILY, these gestures must become a habit, a COLLECTIVE habit!!
On this subject, I wanted to tell you about a site I came across recently while surfing, it's ecologeek, a really nice site that gives us a simple tip once a week to be responsible, it's simple but you had to know it!.. why make it complicated when you can make it simple... Moreover, it quotes a very apt saying... "Faced with a changing world, it is better to think about change than to change the dressing." Pierre DAC, on this beautiful quote I say see you next week!
