Or reading tip # 7
Since the book summary is in English, I'll spare you the details!
Sass Brown, my new idol (I'm actually going to allow myself to send her a little email to introduce her to Peau-Ethique) is a professor in New York (Fashion section, of course!)
This book is a bible for Ethical Fashion, it's the first one that brings together many known and unknown brands, explaining their concept and their approach.
Furthermore, it's a superb book, with really beautiful images and a great format. This is the first time I've bought a coffee table book, and I understand what it feels like to hold this kind of book in your hands; you feel unique!!
Who is it for?
For everyone interested in ethical fashion, you'll discover known and unknown brands. You're left a bit wanting because most of them aren't available in France (like three-quarters of them), but fundamentally, it's also a good tool for the old guard. And yes, you can see their way of communicating, in short, very interesting for me, especially since I discovered many brands. Moreover, I suggest I introduce them to you as well, because perhaps you don't know them either!
The only downside, yes, because there is one, is that it's in English. Well, since we're all fluent here, we don't have any problems.
Basically, it's my favorite book, because books on Ethical Fashion where the subject is truly Fashion, brands, and their products are rare. To show the world that an alternative is possible, that sustainable fashion creates very beautiful things, ultra-fashionable, seriously designer – in a word, that Eco-Fashion isn't just for hippies!!!
So perhaps it's utopian, and ultimately only concerned people will buy this book, but never mind, I don't regret my purchase (admittedly a bit expensive). I discovered many beautiful brands totally unknown in France, I improved my English, and that's priceless!
