Yes I know, I know, another useless post, and yet…
Before, I was an ordinary girl who took showers (but don't panic, I still take showers). But I only used shower gel… yes, I know, and not necessarily organic, and that's the problem because those products are full of disgusting things!!
For example, formaldehyde, which is classified as a carcinogen… which is in almost all non-organic shower gels… it's scary when you know it!! And other things (but let's not get too scared).
So, to radically change my consumption, I decided to switch to soaps…
Certainly, I spent a long time navigating the web to find the small or large brand that would meet my expectations. And I found it with AromaNature, a human-sized brand and company (just like Peau-Ethique) that not only respects Nature but also operates in a sustainable dynamic.
But I might as well point out the problem with soaps that bothered me… the use of palm oil. Yes, it's bad. But I'm not going to be an activist and give a whole speech about the use of palm oil. I discussed it with Leanne, and I invite you to read their opinion on it. But clearly their position is "we could replace it with other oils, but the product wouldn't be as good," or, and here we see that there is indeed a certain degree of humor much appreciated around here, "we could have used duck fat!" (I reiterate that, of course, this is humor).
However, these soaps also contain a majority of organic essential oils… and I'll copy-paste a sentence from their website for you: Be very attentive to cosmetic advertisements that heavily promote essential oils but whose products actually contain only a tiny quantity of the beneficial substance (so that the law is respected!) to complement much cheaper synthetic fragrances.
The sustainable approach is therefore very much present here!
Moreover, the soaps have an extraordinary color, blue, purple, green… in short, I seem to be won over, don't I? And yet they are not chemical.
But what about the result, did I do the DOVE test, the one you're supposed to do… no joke, you smell super good afterwards, it washes well…
However, AromaNature, they're not messing around (excuse the expression) in the world of soap, oh no, they're kind of like the Zinedine Zidanes of soaps (am I getting carried away with the comparison?) because they created the first cold process soap factory in France.
In addition, they've written a book that's a bible or a bestseller, use whatever term you like, but in any case, for apprentice-wizards (Harry Potter, get out of my references) who want to start making soap, it's the book to have… or to give as a gift, Christmas is coming soon :)
And you, are you more of a shower gel or soap person?
