How much CO2 does a tree absorb?

Well, that's a good question, isn't it? Personally, I have no idea, but to answer this question, a designer had the brilliant idea of creating a ruler that measures the circumference of a tree trunk based on human CO2 emissions (flights, breathing, etc.).
This very educational ruler was originally designed for schools so that people could concretely imagine the extent of CO2's impact on our lives.

Anyway, who wants to try it and send me photos of their trees? I only have shrubs, so...
