Since the launch of our menstrual panties a year and a half ago, we have chosen to donate €1 from each sale to the Endomind association to fight endometriosis. As you know, this disease is a cause that is particularly close to our hearts because Ludivine, one of the founders of Peau-Ethique, suffers from it, like 10% of women of childbearing age. You're probably wondering what this donation is for? Who benefits from it? Well, today we have the answer to your questions!
One of Endomind's primary goals is to encourage the development of research. Its objective is clear: to accelerate research to facilitate diagnosis, understand endometriosis, and develop treatments. Today, the disease affects and disables more than 2 million women in France and is still incurable.
Our organic cotton menstrual panties! What projects has Endomind implemented?
Thanks to the donations collected, the association can implement numerous long-term projects such as:
- Disseminating information on endometriosis on a large scale
- Developing research projects to fight the disease
- Setting up exhibitions of portraits of women suffering from the disease
- Organizing prevention days in schools
- The Endorun race
Many other projects can only come to fruition through donations to the association, thus changing the situation of endometriosis as we know it. Today we are very proud to say that we contribute to research on our small scale. Despite increasing mobilization on the issue of the disease in recent years, the association still notes incomprehensible delays because too few research projects benefit from financial support. This considerably hinders the progress so long awaited by patients. While endometriosis was first observed in 1860, it was not until September 2020 that it was included in medical school curricula. The association does not intend to wait another 160 years for resources to be given to research.
If you are interested, you can also contribute by making a donation of the amount of your choice. Moreover, it should be noted that the ENDOmind Association is recognized as being of general interest. Donations made to it are partially tax-deductible. Donors will therefore receive a tax receipt.
