I find the initiative very interesting, which is why I support Earth Hour.
CO2 emissions and global warming are very important issues for Peau-Ethique, and every day we try to reduce our ecological footprint.
It's super simple: on March 28, 2009, we turn off our lights for one hour, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM. You might say an hour isn't much, but it allows us all to fight global warming!
It's a small gesture, but it can make a difference if many of us participate. Plus, I saw that some cities have committed to turning off certain monuments for an hour. Saint-Chamond hasn't committed, but Saint-Etienne has!!
Spread the word and, most importantly, participate!
Edit of March 2: The municipality of St-Chamond has decided to participate, a small victory following a short email. I have to meet with the advisor in charge of sustainable development in St-Chamond; I'll tell you about it... :)
