All the pieces of the collection Caresse de Soie are made in natural and peaceful silk.

This silk comes from a running whose mulberry trees are cultivated in accordance with the biodynamic agriculture standards. The ground culture is though as result of a symbiosis between the planet, the air and the cosmos.

Bio-dynamie, like organic farming, aims at obtaining healthy plants with an optimal yield, in avoiding to empty the grounds by an exploitation too intensive, and in prohibiting the use of soluble fertilizers and synthetic pesticides. Grounds are fertilized by means of compost. The various stages of the culture are determined by the position of the earth in the solar system.

Contrary to conventional processes where the cocoons are scalded whereas worms are still inside, the silk used for the collection has been obtained in order to preserve the worm. Thanks to this soft method, worms extract naturally of their chrysalis after making their metamorphosis. Cocoons are recovered and treated in order to obtain the famous thread of silk.

The silk resulting from this process is soft and light. This slower method needs more workforce, which means that this silk is one of the rarest and more precious in the worldwide.

Caresse de Soie lingerie is manufactured in Tunisia. Located in the South of the country, the workshop meets the requirements from international organizations and is in progress of SA-8000 certification.
